Hi all, sorry for not updating for a long time...
Anyway, Italian Nationals are starting today, the Compulsory Dance will be this afternoon!! This is a link to the official website, where results should be posted: Italian Nationals 2006. You can find the competition schedule here.
I'll be going to Sesto tomorrow, Saturday and the gala on Sunday. This year it should be even more interesting, as Fusar Poli & Margaglio will be competing too, and we'll have also Denkova & Staviski as guests :)

Screen stills of FD at Cup of China are up. It looks like Fede had problems with her blades, but I have to say that you could see their program was really well choreographed even if they skated badly... I like the highlights and the music a lot! I hope so much they'll show everybody what they can do next week at Bompard (also because I'm going there, yay!! :) )

Hi :) Eventually the new season is going to start... The first national competition is taking place in Turin - Palaghiaccio Tazzoli - next week, and Federica & Massimo will debute their olympic programs! Compulsories are on 21st, Original Dance on 22nd and Free Dance on Sunday 23rd. I'm not planning of going to Turin though, but I'm counting on my friends to get the more news (and pics!) as possible ;)
A little site update: I had still some old photos to put online, so here are those from the 2004 Ice Gala in Bolzano. Pics from Italian Nationals will follow (and then everything I have from last season will be up!).

Talking about shows, I've just added some photos from the Stars On Ice exhibition in Asiago, where Fede & Massi skated a new version of their Momix number: they chose Carmina Burana as a music and created a new choreography for it. That's all for the moment!
 

Sorry sorry sorry!!! It took me more than a month, but well, finally here are the off-ice pics from Cerreto Laghi :)
And now a very good news: Fede & Massi will skate at Gran Galà Lancia Ice, which will take place on 24th September at Palavela in Turin. The cast list sounds great: the Italian team, the Canadian team (who will be practicing in Turin the week before the show) and Stéphane Lambiel, Irina Slutskaya and Evgeni Plushenko as special guests!! You can find the whole cast here. Tickets should be on sale from tomorrow, on Ticketone.it.
 

I just come back from a couple of days in Cerreto Laghi, where Federica & Massimo are currently training. They are working with Ludmilla Vlasova on choreographies, and both OD and FD already look fab :) Our trip was also the chance to show them the new banner with their mascotte, Toponiglio Franklin (Toponiglio is now with Federica, they'll bring him with them also on the Italian tour :p). I'll upload the pics next week when I come back from holidays :)

I put up Silvia's pics from the 2nd National Competition back in December (hmpf, sooner or later I'll also get the tons of pics she took at Euros and Worlds! :p), there are some really nice shots, hope you'll like them! In the off-ice photo gallery there are now also some pics of Fede & Massi with Massimo Murru, the ballet dancer who worked with them in June on their new FD, helping them with poses and little details like hands and head positions..
 

Federica & Massimo this August are going to train in Cerreto Laghi, instead of Andalo, as this is the only icerink that will grant enough practice time for all the couples. Well, this means we'll have to drive for a long time to get to see them training this summer, sigh!
I've added some more photos of Euros and Worlds, and pics from the 2nd National Competition will soon be posted.
And... Fede & Massi's mascotte, Toponiglio Franklin, now has a website of its own ;)
 

Hi! Hope everyone's fine :) I've finally found the time for some news updates, I'm home from work as I got tonsillitis ;(
As you maybe already know, Federica and Massimo have been assigned to Cup of China (3 - 6 November) and Trophée Eric Bompard (17 - 20 November).
They are now practising for the new season in Milan, where they'll skate till July, and then in August they'll train in Andalo, in the Alps. I've seen only tiny bits of the new FD so far, and what can I say, I loved the few things I saw (hoping they haven't already changed them!!) and the style of the program ;)
There aren't any confirmed infos yet about the Italian Stars on Ice summer tour, Fede & Massi should skate in a couple of stops only,  but nobody knows in which ones yet! That's all for now, I think!

Federica and Massimo placed 9th at Worlds in Moscow (I'm a bit disappointed because I hoped they could be ahead of Domnina & Shabalin, anyway...). If you missed them, you can download videos of the CD, OD and FD from the fan section :)
 

Worlds in Moscow will start tomorrow, yay!! The only (big!) problem for Federica and Massimo is that Alitalia lost their skates on their way to Moscow... O__o Let's hope they'll get them back in time!!!

Today Federica & Massimo skated better than yesterday, the overall performance was good, but not the twizzles!! Federica had mistakes at the end of both twizzle sequences. I noticed that they changed one of the lifts (noooo, my favourite one :( I hope they'll put it back again...). Anyway, the marks:

Hi :) I'm back from the 1st part of the dance competition in Como, I saw Federica & Massimo skating their Original Dance. They were the only to skate in the senior category, unfortunately... They were not so brilliant as usual, having some problems on twizzles, but that's quite understandable considering it was practically only the 2nd time they skated it after Euros in Torino! They hadn't a lot of time to practice. These are the marks (have to say I never attended a competition with so few judges, only 3!!):

Curious about the new costumes?! I'm a bit perplexed about those for the FD, I mean, it would look a lot better without those sequined parts on Fede's dress, but anyway... have a look yourself!

Silvia kindly sent me these two pics to see the new costumes, but unfortunately all her other pics from Nats will be available probably only after Euros :(
 

Yesterday I forgot to write it... Congrats to Fede & Massi for their 3rd National Title!!!
Alessia Aureli & Andrea Vaturi came in 2nd place with their "Fame" FD, with marks from 4.8 to 5.1 for technique and from 5.2 to 5.3 for presentation.
Unfortunately there are no other senior dance couples :(

Anyway, waiting for some photos of Nationals, I've eventually received new pics of Cup of Russia, including some of the podium, yay! Finally I got to see Federica & Massimo with their first GP medals around the neck :)
 

On ArtOnIce.it there is a short review of the OD.
Basically it says that Federica & Massimo were very elegant, he with a "total white" look, while she was wearing a fabulous green dress. They had a great skate, very good unison during the straight line step sequence, fast steps and excellent spins and lifts (in particular the one at the end of the program). Everybody commented enthusiastically on their routine, especially on their unison "none of them overshadows (?) the other. Massimo is very good, and so is Federica, it's a very well-matched couple". Great enthusiasm also from the audience and the judges, who gave them outstanding marks.

And now let's move on to the last news - the FD!
New costumes for this program too, and well, my friends were a bit unsure on how to comment them... I'll just say that they're black and fucsia - Massimo's costume is all black, with some fucsia on the trousers and white swaroski on the shoulder (if I understood correctly!), while Federica's dress has a fucsia bra, black and fucsia skirt and somewhere the white swaroski too... oh, plus a big swaroskied necksomething (great description, right?! :p sorry, I hope to have a photo soon!).
Their performance was very convincing, except from a bad exit from a twizzle sequence (Fede lost her balance a little bit). These are the marks:

Ok, Fede & Massi must have had a great skate, I think they couldn't get higher marks: they got all 5.8s for the techincal merit and all 5.9s for the artistic impression!!
Massimo was wearing the same white costume as in the GP competitions, while Fede had a new light green dress. That's all for now!
