I still remember the day Silvia, Emanuele and I were back from Fusar Poli & Margaglio's practice, and Emanuele said that a new ice dance couple had teamed up: Federica Faiella & Massimo Scali. He told us that people who had seen them said they were beautiful together, both very talented, really promising. The first question that came up in my mind was: "Talented enough to be... on the podium at Torino 2006?!".
I didn't know much about them at the time (almost anything actually!), because I had never seen them skating with their former partners, but I was soon fascinated by their original and free dance at the first national competition in September 2001. I immediately loved their soft yet powerful skating, especially the passion in their original dance (spanish medley). And every season my friends and I don't stop being amazed by their improvements, by the speed and difficult footwork in their wonderful programs!
